Joanne Tranchina established Solana Beach Community Preschool in 1986 providing over 35 years of service to community families. She wanted to provide richly varied preschool experience offering more than just a "day-care environment." I am excited to bring over 20 years of early childhood experience as an administrator and teacher, dedicating myself to fostering deep respect for each child's individuality – a cornerstone of every exceptional educational program. Now, I'm thrilled to be back at this vibrant community where I’ve raised my children, and cannot wait to collaborate with you as we welcome your children into our educational space.

At SBCP, we promote a feeling of community that fosters enduring relationships among children, families and teachers.  Our program continues to utilize the best of educational practices in order to individualize a program for each student. Each child's curiosity and interests are used as the motivation for learning in a developmentally appropriate environment.  We strive to create an environment that is inviting, safe, fun and that encourages lifelong learners.
